HARRISBURG, Pa. (Aug. 13, 2024) — The Pennsylvania Bar Association (PBA) Criminal Justice Section will host a non-CLE lunch and learn program, “Recent Criminal Cases in the Crypto Space,” on Sept. 17, at noon.
The program will explore recent high-profile criminal cases in the crypto space, including substantive charges, jurisdiction, extradition and federal sentencing guidelines.
The presenter is Peter A. Lennon, an experienced attorney and forensic accountant with more than 25 years of experience in whistleblower and class-action lawsuits. He has used his extensive knowledge in law, accounting, auditing and finance to defend victims of fraud under federal and state laws.
Lennon has handled high-profile cases against major public companies involving accounting, auditing scandals and disclosure violations. He has also played a pivotal role in several successful IRS whistleblower cases on behalf of Young Law Group, with a focus on matters such as Foreign Account Tax Compliance Act disclosure requirements for high-net-worth U.S. citizens with foreign accounts, international transfer pricing, the utilization of principal company structures in Switzerland, offshore foreign trusts and various other violations of tax laws both in the U.S. and abroad. His knowledge of the fields of law, accounting and auditing has led him to be sought after by government regulatory bodies in both the U.S. and Europe.

He is a member of the firm’s global investigations, enforcement and white-collar practice group, which focuses on government investigations, internal investigations, white-collar defense and corporate compliance.
