Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve
Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve (ESGR) is a Department of Defense organization. While our nation's Reserve forces spend time away from the workplace defending the nation, civilian employers also play a critical role in the defense of the nation by complying with existing employment laws protecting the rights of workers who serve in the Reserve. ESGR member volunteers promote cooperation and understanding between Reserve members and their employers and, where needed, assist in the resolution of conflicts arising from an employee's military commitment.

As a respected labor or employment attorney, you can assist in ESGR's mission. Once becoming a ESGR member, with minimal training, you may contribute your pro bono services to our Reservists, or assist civilian employers in understanding their role in our national defense by employing active military Reserve members. In Central Pennsylvania, in particular, your services are greatly needed. For more information, please visit the ESGR website at www.esgr.mil or contact Larry Klink at (717) 861-8782 or the ESGR Program Support Specialist in your area.
