HARRISBURG, Pa. (May 1, 2024) — Jacqueline B. Martinez, founder of JBM Legal LLC, Pittsburgh, will begin the third year of a three-year term as secretary on the Pennsylvania Bar Association (PBA) Board of Governors at the conclusion of the association’s Annual Meeting on May 10 in Hershey.
In addition to her PBA Board of Governors role, Martinez is the vice chair of the Bylaws Committee, co-chair of the Immigration Law Committee, co-vice chair of the Planning Committee and co-chair of the Minority Bar Committee Governance and Membership Development subcommittees. Since 2015, she has served as a council member of the PBA Solo and Small Firm Section.
Active in her local bar association, Martinez is a member of the Allegheny County Bar Association Board of Governors and Fellows Committee. Previously, she served as chair of the ACBA Education Committee, member of the ACBA Young Lawyers Division and council member of the ACBA Solo and Small Firm Committee.
Martinez currently serves as chair of the Pittsburgh Chapter of the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA) and on the AILA National Board of Governors. She served on a variety of AILA national committees.
In addition, Martinez served on the American Civil Liberties Union Board of Directors, Pittsburgh Chapter, and as a member of its Legal, Public Education and Diversity committees. She was a CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocate) volunteer for three years and served on the CASA Board.
Martinez is a graduate of Cornell University, School of Industrial and Labor Relations and the Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law.
