Westmoreland County Lawyer Maureen S. Kroll to Serve on Pennsylvania Bar Association Board of Governors

HARRISBURG, Pa. (May 3, 2024) — Maureen S. Kroll, a private-practice lawyer in North Huntingdon, Westmoreland County, will begin a three-year term on the Pennsylvania Bar Association (PBA) Board of Governors at the conclusion of the association’s Annual Meeting on May 10 in Hershey.

Kroll will serve as the PBA Zone 6 governor, representing lawyers in Fayette, Greene, Washington and Westmoreland counties.

Within the PBA, Kroll is a member of the Elder Law; Family Law; Real Property, Probate and Trust Law; and Solo and Small Firm sections. She is also a member of the Judicial Evaluation Commission’s Investigative Division. In addition, she has lectured for the Pennsylvania Bar Institute.

Active in the Westmoreland Bar Association, Kroll is serving as the 2023-24 president. She also serves on the Westmoreland Bar Foundation Board of Directors and is a past recipient of its Pro Bono Attorney of the Year Award in recognition for donating more than 250 hours of free legal assistance to members of the community.

Practicing law for 36 years, Kroll focuses on a variety of legal issues, including bankruptcy, debt counseling, disability, elder law, family law, personal injury, real estate and wills and estates.

Prior to becoming a lawyer, Kroll worked for 15 years as a head nurse in an intensive care unit and then a director of nursing at Monsour Medical Center in Jeanette. She is active in the Jeannette Business Association and was a founding member of its Community Health Awareness Team.

Kroll earned her bachelor’s degree in nursing and master’s degree as a cardiovascular clinical specialist from the University of Pittsburgh, and her Juris Doctor from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law.
