Centre County Lawyer Kelly A. Mroz to Serve Second Year as Pennsylvania Bar Association Treasurer

HARRISBURG, Pa. (May 1, 2024) — Kelly A. Mroz, assistant general counsel, The Pennsylvania State University, State College, will begin the second year of a three-year term as treasurer on the Pennsylvania Bar Association (PBA) Board of Governors at the conclusion of the association’s Annual Meeting on May 10 in Hershey.

Within the PBA, Mroz is chair of the Planning Committee and a member of the Commission on Women in the Profession, Legal Academics, Legal Services to the Public, LGBTQ+ Rights, Minority Bar and Quality of Life/Balance committees. She is also a member of the Real Property, Probate and Trust Law Section and was a Bar Leadership Institute graduate.

Since 2018, Mroz has been a voting member of the PBA House of Delegates, the policymaking body of the association. She also served on the PBA Board of Governors as a zone governor representing lawyers in Cameron, Centre, Clearfield, Clinton, Elk and Potter.

In addition, Mroz served on the Board of Directors for the Pennsylvania Bar Foundation, the charitable affiliate of the PBA, and has been chair of the foundation’s Marketing Committee and a member of its Events Committee.

Active in her local bar association, Mroz was co-chair of the Centre County Bar Association Women’s Law Committee. Previously, she served as chair of the Erie County Bar Association Family Law Section and Young Lawyers Division.

In the community, Mroz served on the Center for Alternatives in Community Justice Board of Directors, the Campaign Cabinet and the Women in Action Steering Committee of the United Way of Erie and was president of the Junior League of Erie. She is also co-author of Landlord Tenant Law and Practice, Fifth Edition, published by George T. Bisel Company Inc. in 2022.

Mroz earned her Juris Doctor with honors from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law and her bachelor’s degree from Penn State.
