Dauphin County Lawyer Alaina Koltash to Serve as Immediate Past Chair of PBA Young Lawyers Division

HARRISBURG (May 8, 2019) — Alaina C. Koltash of Mechanicsburg, executive director and senior legal counsel for the Education Committee of Pennsylvania House of Representatives, will become the immediate past chair of the Pennsylvania Bar Association Young Lawyers Division (YLD) at the conclusion of the PBA Annual Meeting, May 17, in Lancaster.

Koltash is concluding a one-year term as PBA YLD chair. She previously served a one-year term as incoming chair and a one-year term as treasurer of the PBAYLD. Koltash previously served as the young lawyer member on the Executive Committee of the Conference of County Bar Leaders.

She is a current member of the PBA Education Law Section, PBA Government Lawyers Committee and the PBA Commission on Women in the Profession. From 2015 through 2017, Koltash was a voting delegate in the PBA House of Delegates, the policymaking body of the association.

She is currently serving a two-year term on the Board of Directors for the Pennsylvania Bar Institute, the educational arm of the PBA.

Also active in the community, Koltash is a member of the Widener Law Commonwealth Alumni Association Board. She is a long-time volunteer for the Volunteer Income Tax Association, which offers free tax return preparation to low-income individuals. She also is a member of the James S. Bowman Inn of Court.

Koltash is a graduate of The Pennsylvania State University and a magna cum laude graduate of the Widener University School of Law.
