Northampton County Lawyer Jonathan M. Huerta to Serve on PBA Board of Governors

HARRISBURG (May 8, 2019) — Northampton County lawyer Jonathan M. Huerta of the Bethlehem-based law firm of King, Spry, Herman, Freund and Faul LLC, will begin a three-year term on the Pennsylvania Bar Association Board of Governors at the conclusion of the PBA Annual Meeting, May 17, in Lancaster.

One of 12 zone governors who serve on the PBA Board, Huerta will represent Berks, Carbon, Lehigh, Northampton and Schuylkill County lawyers. 

Huerta has been a member of the PBA House of Delegates, the association’s policy-making body since 2014. He is a member of the PBA GLBT Rights Committee, PBA Membership Engagement Blue Ribbon Panel and PBA Minority Bar Committee. He is a past member of the PBA Education Law Section.

Also active in the organized bar at the local level, Huerta is a past chair of the Northampton County Bar Association Young Lawyers Division, and past member of the NCBA’s Bench Bar Committee.

Huerta is the chair of the Greater Lehigh Valley Chamber of Commerce’s LGBTQ Business Council, and sits on the Chamber’s Board of Governors. He is also a board member of the Cancer Support Community of the Lehigh Valley. In addition, he is active in the Philadelphia Texas Exes Alumni Association and the Penn State Alumni Association.

Huerta is a graduate of the University of Texas at Austin and the Pennsylvania State University Dickinson School of Law.
