Dauphin County Lawyer Alaina C. Koltash to Serve as Immediate Past Chair of Pennsylvania Bar Association Young Lawyers Division

HARRISBURG, Pa. (May 5, 2023) — Alaina C. Koltash, deputy general counsel, Governor’s Office of General Counsel, Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, will become the immediate past chair of the Pennsylvania Bar Association Young Lawyers Division (YLD) at the conclusion of the PBA Annual Meeting in Philadelphia on May 5.

As immediate past chair of the YLD, Koltash will serve on the 2023-24 PBA Board of Governors. She previously served on the Board from 2016-19. In addition to her previous role as chair of the YLD, she served as the 2016-17 treasurer.

Active in the PBA, Koltash has served as the YLD Zone 3 co-chair and was the young lawyer member on the Executive Committee of the Conference of County Bar Leaders. She is the current co-vice chair of the Government Lawyers Committee, and member of the Education Law Section and Commission on Women in the Profession. Since 2015, Koltash has served a voting delegate in the PBA House of Delegates, the policymaking body of the association.

In her community, Koltash is a member of the Widener Law Commonwealth Alumni Association Board. She is a longtime volunteer for the Volunteer Income Tax Association, which offers free tax return preparation to low-income individuals. She is also a barrister member of the James S. Bowman Inn of Court.

Koltash graduated magna cum laude with her J.D. from Widener University Commonwealth Law School and earned her B.A. in political science/journalism from The Pennsylvania State University.
