Welcome New Members!

>Regular membership in the Pennsylvania Bar Association is open to all lawyers who are in good standing and licensed by the bar of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. To join online, simply enter your PA Supreme Court I.D. # and Last Name in the fields below to get started! 

>Attorneys in private practice who have their primary business address in a unit county must join the PBA through the unit county. Please contact your county bar association regarding a membership application. Click here for a list of unit county bar associations.

>Retired/Emeritus Membership: Members of the Bar of this Commonwealth who are registered as holding: (i) retired status or (ii) emeritus status with the Disciplinary Board of the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania qualify for a discounted dues rate.

>Affiliate Membership: This membership category is available to Law Firm Administrators, Pennsylvania Magisterial District Judges, Court Administrators, Law Librarians, and Paralegals. To learn more about the benefits of becoming an Affiliate Member and to access the application, click here.

>Associate Membership is open to attorneys in good standing licensed in other states but not licensed in Pennsylvania. Please contact Member Services to join as an Associate Member!

>Newly Admitted Attorneys who passed the February 2025 bar exam will be receiving a free 2025 membership directly from the Pennsylvania Bar Association and should not complete the following application. New admittees will also receive free section membership in one section of their choice.

>Law students at ABA accredited law schools can begin taking advantage of the many benefits that go along with being part of Pennsylvania's largest bar association. There is no cost to join! Signing up is quick and easy - simply complete this online form.
