Cambria County lawyer Christopher G. Gvozdich of Gvozdich Law Offices in Ebensburg is serving a three-year term as a zone governor on the PBA Board of Governors.
One of 12 zone governors who serve on the PBA Board, Gvozdich represents Bedford, Blair, Cambria, Fulton, Huntingdon, Indiana and Somerset county lawyers.
Gvozdich has been serving as a delegate to the PBA House of Delegates, the policymaking body of the association since 2011.
He was a member of the 2013-14 class of the PBA Bar Leadership Institute, which provides emerging leaders with opportunities to learn about the association while actively participating in key meetings and events.
Gvozdich is a member and past chair and past co-chair of the PBA’s Quality of Life/Balance Committee. Gvozdich is a past recipient of the Pennsylvania Bar Association President’s Recognition Award for services as chair of the Quality of Life/Balance Committee.
Also active in the organized bar at the local level, Gvozdich is a member of the Cambria County Bar Association. He is a past chair of the association’s Young Lawyers Division and is a past manager on the Cambria County Bar Association’s Board of Managers.
Gvozdich has been a long-time supporter of high school mock trial competitions at the local and regional levels. He previously served as the coordinator and administrator of Cambria County’s mock trial program. Gvozdich also previously served as the coordinator of the Cambria County Bar Association’s Stepping Out program.
Gvozdich serves as a director on the Pennsylvania Bar Foundation, the charitable affiliate of the PBA. He also is currently a member of the foundation’s Finance Committee and Marketing Committee. He is also a past board member of the board of Laurel Legal Services, Inc.
His legal practice includes various aspects of transactional law including commercial transactions, commercial and residential real estate transactions, and various aspects of business law and business planning.
Gvozdich is an honors program graduate of Saint Francis University of Pennsylvania. He graduated cum laude from Widener University School of Law in Delaware. In addition, he received an LL.M. summa cum laude in business transactions from the University of Alabama School of Law.
