Patrice M. Turenne, labor and employment counsel for Bimbo Bakeries USA Inc., Horsham, is the chair-elect of the Pennsylvania Bar Association (PBA) Young Lawyers Division. She will serve as the 2022-23 YLD chair.
Turenne is the at-large diversity chair of the PBA YLD. She previously served as a Zone 9 co-chair and YLD zone delegate to the PBA House of Delegates. She is a member of the PBA Diversity Team and PBA Federal Practice Committee. She also is a member of the PBA Minority Bar Committee and is a past co-chair of its Diversity Summit Subcommittee and past co-chair of its Minority Day Philadelphia Subcommittee.
Turenne previously was a member of the PBA Civil and Equal Rights Committee, Civil Litigation Section and Legal Services for Exceptional Children Committee.
Turenne was a member of the 2019-20 class of the PBA Bar Leadership Institute, which introduces young lawyers to leadership opportunities within the association.
Also active in the organized bar at the local level, Turenne is a 2019 graduate of the Montgomery Bar Association Leadership Academy. She is vice chair of the MBA Young Lawyers Section and a member of the MBA Board of Directors and Executive Committee.
Turenne is active in the community. She serves on the Executive Board of The Garage Community and Youth Center, a nonprofit organization providing afterschool and development programming to low-income and diverse youth.
Turenne earned a B.A. from the University of Pittsburgh, a M.A. from La Salle University and a J.D. from Widener University Delaware Law School.
