Philip B. Friedman

Philip B. Friedman is the PBA Zone Seven governor on the PBA Board of Governors, representing Clarion, Crawford, Erie, Forest, Jefferson, McKean, Venango and Warren county lawyers.

Friedman is a member of the PBA Judicial Independence Committee and is a former member of the PBA Judicial Evaluation Commission.

Friedman is a former chair of the Disciplinary Board of the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania and a member of the Supreme Court’s Criminal Procedural Rules Committee.

He is a Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers.

Friedman is a past president of the Erie County Bar Association. Since 1985, he has participated in the association’s Legal Aid Volunteer Attorneys Program that provides legal assistance to low income individuals.

He is a member of the Pennsylvania Criminal Defense Lawyers Association. He also is a member of the Pennsylvania Association for Justice, where he previously served on the Board of Governors.

Friedman holds degrees from Washington and Jefferson College and the University of Pittsburgh School of Law.
