Tioga County Lawyer Rita G. Alexyn to Serve on Pennsylvania Bar Association Board of Governors

HARRISBURG (May 8, 2017) — Rita G. Alexyn, owner of the Law Office of Rita G. Alexyn in Mansfield, will begin a three-year term on the Pennsylvania Bar Association Board of Governors at the conclusion of the association’s Annual Meeting, May 12, in Pittsburgh.

One of 12 zone governors who serve on the PBA Board, Alexyn will represent Columbia, Lycoming, Montour, Northumberland, Snyder, Tioga and Union county lawyers. Alexyn previously served in the same capacity from 2011 to 2014.

Active in the organized bar, Alexyn serves as co-vice chair of the PBA Leadership Recruitment and Development Committee and as a council member for the PBA Solo and Small Firm Section. In addition, Alexyn is a member of the PBA Family Law Section and the PBA Commission on Women in the Profession.

Alexyn is a member of the Tioga County Bar Association and served as its president and treasurer. She also is a member of the Lycoming County Bar Association.

Alexyn holds a bachelor’s degree in nursing from Niagara University and a juris doctorate degree from the University at Buffalo School of Law.
