But in others, the practice of law is so ingrained that these lawyers can’t envision any other way of life. PBA Law Practice Management Coordinator Ellen Freedman makes the case for planning for a purposeful retirement in the lead article, “H*ll No, I Won’t Go! Lawyers Refusing to Quit,” in the upcoming March/April issue of The Pennsylvania Lawyer magazine. Also in the issue: what you can learn from irate clients, using mindfulness to improve confidence and manage personalities during mediation, proposed IRS regulations regarding family-owned businesses and a look at the use of “ancient” Latin in our modern world. And for all the creative writers out there, get the rules and entry form for the members-only 2017 fiction contest. Watch for this next issue in the mail and online here for members-only access the week of Feb. 26.
