HARRISBURG (June 7, 1999) -- The Pennsylvania Bar Association Plain English Committee presented its 1999 Clarity Awards to Louis Del Duca of Cumberland County, Jonathan Delano of Allegheny County and Roseann Termini of Delaware County during ceremonies last month at the PBA Annual Meeting in Philadelphia.

The PBA created the Plain English Committee this year in an effort to improve the general public�s access to the law by removing the barriers of �legalese.� The Clarity Awards were devised to honor individuals who work to clarify the legal language.

Louis Del Duca is a law professor at The Dickinson School of Law of the Pennsylvania State University and is the long-time editor of the PBA�s scholarly journal, the PBA Quarterly. Jonathan Delano is a sole practitioner in Allegheny County and Roseann Termini is a law professor at the Villanova University School of Law.
