ALLEGHENY COUNTY LAWYER TO SERVE ON PENNSYLVANIA BAR ASSOCIATION BOARD OF GOVERNORS

HARRISBURG (May 30, 2006) � Allegheny County lawyer Frederick N. Egler Jr., chief counsel � litigation for The PNC Financial Services Group Inc., will begin a three-year term on the Pennsylvania Bar Association Board of Governors at the close of the organization�s Annual Meeting June 7 � 9 in Hershey.

One of 12 zone governors who serve on the PBA board, Egler will represent Allegheny County lawyers.

Egler is a member of the PBA House of Delegates and served as chair of the PBA Civil Litigation Section and the PBA Editorial Board. He has lectured and written extensively for the Pennsylvania Bar Institute and other continuing legal education organizations.

He is a past president of the Allegheny County Bar Association, and he served as editor of the Pittsburgh Legal Journal. He was the editor-in-chief of all of the publications of the Allegheny County Bar Association for 13 years. Egler is a member of the American Bar Association House of Delegates. He is a Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers and a member of the Allegheny County Academy of Trial Lawyers.

He is the chair of the board of the Visiting Nurse Foundation and served as president of the American Heart Association, Allegheny Division, and as chair of the LaRoche College Board of Regents.

Egler is a cum laude graduate of the University of Chicago and a summa cum laude graduate of the University of Pittsburgh School of Law.
