Kittanning Lawyer to Serve on Pennsylvania Bar Association Board of Governors

HARRISBURG (May 27, 2008) - Kittanning sole practitioner Alberta Beardsley will serve a three-year term on the Pennsylvania Bar Association Board of Governors upon her election to the position of Zone 10 Governor during the association's annual meeting June 4 - 6 in Hershey.

One of 12 zone governors, Beardsley will represent Armstrong, Beaver, Butler, Lawrence and Mercer county lawyers. Her term will expire in 2011.

A longtime PBA member, Beardsley has served as president and vice president of the Armstrong County Bar Association. She also is a member of the Pennsylvania Trial Lawyers Association.

Active in her community, Beardsley serves on the board of directors of Laurel Legal Services Inc. and was a board member for the Progressive Workshop and HAVIN.

Beardsley received her Bachelor of Arts degree from Andrews University, her Master of Arts degree from the University of Michigan, and her Juris Doctor degree from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law.
