Clearfield County Lawyer to Serve on Pennsylvania Bar Association Board of Governors

HARRISBURG (May 4, 2010) - Clearfield County lawyer Ann B. Wood, a partner with the law firm of Bell, Silberblatt & Wood in Clearfield, will begin a three-year term on the Pennsylvania Bar Association Board of Governors at the close of the organization's Annual Meeting, May 14 in Hershey.

One of 12 zone governors who serve on the PBA board, Wood will represent Cameron, Centre, Clearfield, Clinton, Elk and Potter county lawyers.

Wood is a member of the PBA House of Delegates, the association's policy-making body. She is a member and past treasurer of the Clearfield County Bar Association. She is a member of the American Bar Association and the American Judicature Society.

Active in her community, Wood is a member and past president of the board of directors of the Children's Aid Society and serves on the board of trustees of the Shaw Public Library. She is serving on the Session of the Presbyterian Church of Clearfield as a ruling Elder and previously served as a Trustee and a Deacon. She also is a member of the Lycoming College Alumni Association Executive Board.

Wood is a graduate of Lycoming College and the University of Pittsburgh School of Law.
