HARRISBURG (May 3, 2010) - Dana Baiocco, a partner in the Pittsburgh office of Jones Day, will begin the second year of her two-year term as chair of the Pennsylvania Bar Association's House of Delegates at the conclusion of the organization's Annual Meeting May 14 in Hershey.

Baiocco is a member of the PBA Commission on Women in the Profession Committee and served as its co-chair from 2006 until 2008. She also is a Zone 12 (Allegheny County) representative in the PBA House of Delegates. She has served as a faculty member for continuing legal education programs with the Pennsylvania Bar Institute.

Baiocco is a member of the Allegheny County Bar Association and served on its Gender Bias Committee. She also has been honored as an Allegheny County Bar Foundation Fellow. She had an active role in the Pittsburgh chapter of the American Inns of Court from 1998 through 2003 and has served as an executive board member and program committee co-chair for the organization.

She has been a volunteer with The United Way of Pittsburgh and has served on its Young Leaders and Audit committees. She also served a four-year term as a board member for Wagner Family Charities.

American Lawyer Media named Baiocco a "Pennsylvania Lawyer on the Fast Track" in 2005, and Philadelphia Magazine and Law & Politics honored her as a Pennsylvania "Super Lawyer, Rising Star" in 2005, 2006 and 2007. She was named by The Legal 500 in 2007 and 2009 as a leading U.S. lawyer in the product liability and mass tort defense category for aerospace/aviation.

She is a graduate of the Ohio University E.W. Scripps School of Journalism and a cum laude graduate of the Duquesne University School of Law, where she was chair of the Appellate Moot Court Honor Society and was named to the Justice Louis Mandarino Honor Society for Achievement in Trial and Appellate Advocacy.
