Chester County Lawyer Kim Denise Morton to Serve on Pennsylvania Bar Association Board of Governors


HARRISBURG (April 30, 2015) - Kim Denise Morton of Morton Family Law LLC, West Chester, will begin a three-year term on the Pennsylvania Bar Association (PBA) Board of Governors at the conclusion of the association's Annual Meeting, May 8 in Philadelphia.

One of 12 zone governors who serve on the PBA Board, Morton will represent Bucks, Chester, Delaware and Montgomery county lawyers.

Morton is a member of the PBA House of Delegates, the PBA Family Law Section and the PBA Solo and Small Firm Practice Section.

Morton served as the 2013 president of the Chester County Bar Association and is a past chair of the association's Family Law Section, Bench Bar Committee and Young Lawyer Division. She also served on the association's Board of Directors, Nominating Committee and Judicial Evaluation Committee.

She has written about and lectured on various family law topics for the Pennsylvania Bar Institute, the educational arm of the PBA, and other bar associations, Inns of Court and private organizations.

Since 2011, Morton has served on the board of Legal Aid of Southeastern Pennsylvania. She is the co-leader of a neighborhood bible study group. She is a past board member of the Chester County SPCA.

She holds an undergraduate degree from West Chester University and a juris doctorate degree from Widener Law School, where she was on the Law Review and the Moot Court Honor Society.
