HARRISBURG (April 27, 2011) - Sayde J. Ladov, a partner in the Philadelphia firm of Dolchin, Slotkin & Todd, will begin a three-year term on the Pennsylvania Bar Association Board of Governors at the conclusion of the statewide association's Annual Meeting May 6 in Philadelphia. One of 12 zone governors, Ladov will represent Philadelphia lawyers.

Ladov is a member of the Pennsylvania Bar Association House of Delegates. She served as chancellor of the Philadelphia Bar Association in 2009-2010 and as the association's secretary in 2002-2004. As a Philadelphia Bar Association member, she served as co-chair of the Bench-Bar Conference, chair of the Women in the Profession Committee and co-chair of the Compulsory Arbitration Committee. She is a current member of the Philadelphia Bar Association's Legislative Liaison and Insurance Programs committees and the Pro Bono Task Force. She is a frequent lecturer/ author for the Pennsylvania Bar Institute.

Ladov served as a trustee of the Philadelphia Bar Foundation and chair of its Alexander Hamilton Ball and co-chair of its Alexander Hamilton Gala. She served on the board of directors of the Philadelphia Trial Lawyers Association and the board of governors of the Pennsylvania Trial Lawyers Association. She serves on the executive committee of the Louis Brandeis Law Society and is a founding member of the Louis Brandeis Foundation. She also served as chancellor of the Tau Epsilon Rho Law Society.

Active in community service, Ladov is on the board of directors of the SeniorLAW Center in Philadelphia. She served on the board of directors of the Philadelphia VIP, a non-profit legal services agency in Philadelphia, in 1999-2002 and 2007- 2010 and received its Chancellor's Award in 1998. She currently serves as membership chair for the Society Hill Synagogue.

Ladov holds a bachelor of arts degree from Fordham University and a juris doctorate degree from the Fordham University School of Law, where she served as associate editor of the Fordham Urban Law Journal.
