WILLIAMSPORT LAWYER NAMED PRESIDENT OF THE PENNSYLVANIA BAR ASSOCIATION

HARRISBURG (April 11, 2005) � William P. Carlucci, a shareholder in the Williamsport law firm of Elion, Wayne, Grieco, Carlucci, Shipman and Irwin, P.C., will become the 111th president of the Pennsylvania Bar Association during the organization�s Annual Meeting May 4 � 6 in Pittsburgh. Carlucci will receive the official gavel of office May 5 at the PBA Annual Dinner at the Hilton Pittsburgh.

Carlucci served on the PBA Board of Governors for two terms, in 1993-1996 and in 1999-2002. He currently sits on the board of directors of the Pennsylvania Bar Institute, the continuing legal education arm of the PBA. He has been active in the leadership of PBA committees and special task forces, including the PBA Law Practice Management and Technology Task Force of which he was a tri-chair. He received the Pennsylvania Bar Association President�s Award in 1996 for outstanding service to the organization. He is a past president and executive committee member of the Lycoming Law Association.

Active in the greater Williamsport area community, Carlucci is a past president and current board member of the Susquehanna Council of the Boy Scouts of America. He was appointed in 2004 to the Boy Scouts of America National Committee on High Adventure. Carlucci is an active leader of the Church of Saint Ann�s Cub Pack 38 and Boy Scout Troop 38. He is a former president of the Loyalsock Kiwanis Club and served as lieutenant governor for Kiwanis Division 12 North. The Loyalsock Kiwanis named him Kiwanian of the Year in 1995.

He is a past president and current volunteer for the Loyalsock Volunteer Fire Company and was awarded a Merit Star from the National Ski Patrol. He also serves as a lector for the Church of Saint Ann.

Carlucci is a graduate of Lycoming College and Temple University School of Law. He and his wife Christine live in Williamsport with their children, Ben Carlucci and Laura and Lynn Yeager.
