HARRISBURG (March 13, 2008) - The Pennsylvania Bar Association Conference of County Bar Leaders (CCBL) has honored Alexander A. DiSanti of Media with its 2008 Gilbert Nurick Award for his commitment to the Pennsylvania and Delaware County Bar associations. The award was presented during the 42nd Annual Seminar of the Conference of County Bar Leaders, Feb. 29, in State College, Pa.

The Gilbert Nurick Award, which is named for the late Harrisburg lawyer who served as PBA president, is presented to a member of the Pennsylvania Bar Association (PBA) who exhibits dedication and service to the leadership and promotion of the organized bar and its activities.

DiSanti has served as a member or chair of more than 50 committees of the Delaware County Bar Association (DCBA). He is a founder of the DCBA Inn of Court Section and a frequent presenter at numerous continuing legal education programs for Delaware County lawyers. DiSanti's exemplary efforts on behalf of the legal profession have been recognized with the E. Wallace Chadwick Memorial Award, the Guy G. deFuria Inn of Court Award, the Lawyers' Club of the Year Award, the Elizabeth C. Price Award and the Paul R. Sand Award.

For more than 20 years, DiSanti was a voting zone delegate for the PBA and served on the association's Government Regulation of the Profession Committee.

Founded in 1895, the Pennsylvania Bar Association strives to promote justice, professional excellence and respect for the law; improve public understanding of the legal system; facilitate access to legal services; and serve the 29,000 lawyers who are members of the association.
