Pennsylvania Bar Association Names Fredrick Cabell Jr. as Legislative Director

HARRISBURG (Feb. 2, 2012) - The Pennsylvania Bar Association has named Fredrick Cabell Jr. of Harrisburg as the legislative director for its Legislative Relations Department.

Cabell will work with the PBA leadership, including its Board of Governors and House of Delegates, to present the PBA's positions on legislative matters to the General Assembly. He and his department will also monitor and report information on pending and enacted legislation to the association's committees, sections and local bar associations and also work closely with these bodies to propose and develop legislation.

Cabell most recently served as director of governmental relations for the Pennsylvania Builders Association. He previously served as counsel in the Office of Senator Jeffrey E. Piccola of Harrisburg, as a director for the Pennsylvania Catholic Conference Education Department, as a deputy attorney general in the Litigation Section of the Office of the Attorney General and as an associate in law firms based in Washington, D.C. and Pottsville, Pa.

Cabell earned his juris doctorate from The Catholic University of America and his bachelor's degree from Susquehanna University.
