PITTSBURGH LAWYER ELECTED TO THE PENNSYLVANIA BAR ASSOCIATION BOARD OF GOVERNORS |
HARRISBURG (May 2001) - Carl G. Cooper, director of real estate for the Urban Redevelopment Authority of Pittsburgh, was elected at-large governor of the Pennsylvania Bar Association Board of Governors during the organization�s annual meeting held this month in Pittsburgh. Cooper, who will represent Pennsylvania minority lawyers on the board, will serve for a three-year term.
Cooper is a past chair of the PBA Minority Bar Committee and currently serves on the association�s Judicial Independence Committee. He also is a past president of the Homer S. Brown Law Association.
Active in his community, Cooper is a member of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People and the Urban League of Pittsburgh.
He is a graduate of Central State University and Howard University School of Law.
