Legal Aid program: North Penn Legal Services (NPLS) Status: If NCBA receives calls for general pro bono assistance, the callers are given NPLS’ contact information and told to call to see if they are income and case-type eligible. The county has a mortgage foreclosure program and those callers are put in touch with Community Action Committee of the Lehigh Valley (CACLV). If the caller follows through with housing counselors, still needs an attorney and meets the criteria for a pro bono attorney, CACLV makes a referral back to NCBA and an attorney is assigned.
