5-K Run/Walk, July 31, 2010
The Cambria County Bar Association is sponsoring a 5-K run/walk on July 31 to benefit the Cambria Bar Foundation (a fund through the Community Foundation for the Alleghenies), which is committed to providing community outreach legal programs to benefit residents in Cambria County. Most recently, the foundation has sponsored the Stepping Out Program for high school students across the area, which offers advice and other information for students about to head off to college who are �stepping out� in the real world. The foundation also supports Law Day at area schools, Mock Trials and Wills for Heroes events. The county bar association is asking area businesses to help raise funds for the foundation by being T-shirt sponsors. For a minimum donation of $100, a your company�s name will be listed on the back of the T-shirt given to each participant of the race. For a $500 donation, a your company�s name will appear on the shirt in larger print as a Silver Sponsor and on a sign at race registration. Click here for the registration form.

Wills for First Responders Program, 2009
Cambria County lawyers ran their own local Wills for First Responders program on Sept. 19, a beautiful fall Saturday, that brought out 20 attorneys to volunteer their time. The Cambria County Bar Association was able to provide assistance to over 20 individuals that day. The local bar will be doing this program again with the hope of a larger turnout.
