PHILADELPHIA LAWYER RECEIVES ERIC TURNER MEMORIAL AWARD

HARRISBURG (Feb. 3, 2004) The Pennsylvania Bar Association Family Law Section recently presented Philadelphia lawyer Albert Momjian with its Eric Turner Memorial Award during the sections winter meeting held Jan. 16-18 in Philadelphia. The Eric Turner Memorial Award was created to honor the memory of a lawyer who was dedicated to the practice of family law and the PBA Family Law Section.

Eric Turner personified everything that a good family law practitioner aspires to be, said Family Law Section Chair Harry M. Byrne. He was friend and mentor to those just entering our profession as well as to veteran practitioners. To honor his memory, we developed this award to be presented, not necessarily yearly, but whenever deemed appropriate. Al Momjian is wholly deserving of this award for his years of service to the family law practitioners of Pennsylvania.

In addition, Momjian is being recognized for his service as a past chair of the PBA Family Law Section and as one of the sections founding members. As part of the award, the section donated $500 in the name of Momjian to the Homeless Advocacy Project of Philadelphia.
