Schuylkill County Lawyer to Serve on Pennsylvania Bar Association Board of Governors

HARRISBURG (June 8, 2007) - Schuylkill County lawyer Ronald R. Pellish, a partner with Pellish and Pellish Attorneys at Law, Pottsville, will begin a three-year term on the Pennsylvania Bar Association Board of Governors at the close of the organization's Annual Meeting, June 20-22, in Philadelphia.

One of 12 zone governors who serve on the PBA board, Pellish will represent Berks, Carbon, Lehigh, Northampton and Schuylkill county lawyers.

Pellish has been a PBA zone delegate since 1998. He is a member of the PBA Professionalism Committee and is a former member of the association's Solo and Small Firm Practice Section.

Pellish served as 1992-1993 president of the Schuylkill County Bar Association. He also served on the association's board of directors for 13 years.

He is a member of the Pennsylvania Trial Lawyers Association.

He has been engaged in the private practice of law for almost thirty years in areas including civil and criminal litigation, estate, real estate, family law, mediation and collaborative law.

Active in his community, Pellish is a coach for St. Vincent de Paul's Catholic Youth Organization, Minersville. He coached for the Pottsville Youth Soccer Association for ten years. He also is a past president of the Green and Gold Booster Club for Nativity B.V.M. High School in Pottsville.

Pellish is a graduate of King's College, Wilkes-Barre, and South Texas College of Law, Houston.
