HARRISBURG (June 6, 2007) - Clifford E. Haines, president of the Philadelphia law firm of Haines & Associates, will become vice president of the Pennsylvania Bar Association at the conclusion of the organization's Annual Meeting, June 22, in Philadelphia. Haines will become president of the 29,000-member state legal association in 2009.
A former Zone One Governor representing Philadelphia lawyers on the PBA Board of Governors, Haines currently serves as chair of the PABAR-PAC and in the PBA House of Delegates. He also serves as a Pennsylvania delegate in the American Bar Association House of Delegates.
Haines is a former Chancellor of the Philadelphia Bar Association. He is a member of the International Academy of Trial Lawyers and the American College of Trial Lawyers. He is a former chair and current member of the board of directors of Pennsylvanians for Modern Courts.
Haines is a Senate-approved board member of the Pennsylvania Council on the Arts and serves on the board of directors of the Philadelphia Opera Company.
He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Muskingum College and a juris doctorate from the Ohio State University School of Law.
