STATE REP. KATHY MANDERINO APPOINTED TO THE PENNSYLVANIA BAR ASSOCIATION BOARD OF GOVERNORS

HARRISBURG (May 2, 2003) � State Rep. Kathy M. Manderino was appointed to the Pennsylvania Bar Association Board of Governors as an at-large governor representing the interests of women lawyers in Pennsylvania. Her term began at the close of the organization�s annual meeting April 23�25 in Philadelphia. She will serve until 2006.

Active in the Pennsylvania Bar Association, Manderino is a past co-chair and member of the executive council of the PBA Women in the Profession Committee. She continues her involvement as a member of the committee and also serves on the Delivery of Legal Services to the Needy Committee.

Manderino has served in the Pennsylvania House of Representatives since 1992 and is a member of the House Appropriations, Children and Youth, Insurance and Judiciary committees. Prior to being elected, Manderino was an attorney with the law firm of Fox Rothschild O�Brien & Frankel. She also worked for the Philadelphia Area Labor-Management Committee and the Council for Labor and Industry.

A community advocate, Manderino is on the boards of the Bridge Adolescent Treatment Center and Northwest Victim Services. She also serves on the Advocacy Committee of the Linda Creed Breast Cancer Foundation and on the Senior Advisory Committee for Intercommunity Action, Inc.

Manderino is a graduate of the Pennsylvania State University and the Temple University Beasley School of Law.
