WESTMORELAND COUNTY LAWYER ELECTED SECRETARY OF PENNSYLVANIA BAR ASSOCIATION |
HARRISBURG (April 21, 2004) � Daniel Joseph, a partner in the New Kensington law firm of George & Joseph, will become secretary of the Pennsylvania Bar Association during the organization�s Annual Meeting May 12 � 14 in Hershey.
A member of the PBA House of Delegates, Joseph served on the PBA Board of Governors from 2000 until 2003. He is a member of the PBA Workers� Compensation, Criminal Law, Civil Litigation and Solo and Small Firm Practice sections. He also served on the PBA Legislative and Government Affairs and Judicial Independence committees.
Joseph is a past president of the Westmoreland Bar Association and is chair of the WBA�s Planning Committee and a past chair of its Criminal Law Committee. He served on the WBA�s Executive Board from 1993 until 1995.
He is a member of the American Bar Association and serves on the executive committee of the American Inns of Court in Westmoreland County. He also is a member of the Westmoreland Academy of Trial Lawyers.
Joseph served as chairman and as a member of the Pennsylvania Supreme Court Disciplinary Hearing Committee 4.13. He sits on the boards of directors for Laurel Legal Services and the Community Foundation of Westmoreland County.
Joseph is a graduate of Mount Union College and Duquesne University School of Law.
