NEW CASTLE LAWYER ELECTED TO THE PENNSYLVANIA BAR ASSOCIATION BOARD OF GOVERNORS

HARRISBURG (May 6, 2002) - New Castle lawyer John W. Flannery was elected to the Pennsylvania Bar Association Board of Governors during the association�s annual meeting held May 1 - 3 in Hershey.

One of 12 zone governors who serve on the PBA Board, Flannery will represent Armstrong, Beaver, Butler, Lawrence and Mercer county lawyers. His term will expire in 2005.

Flannery is a member of the PBA House of Delegates and Real Property, Probate and Trust Law Section. He is a past president of the Lawrence County Bar Association. He currently serves as chair of the association�s annual essay contest. Flannery also is a member of the American Bar Association.

Active in his community, Flannery is a former president of the New Castle Community YMCA, New Castle Chamber of Commerce and Lawrence County United Way. He currently serves as endowment chair for the New Castle Community YMCA and is a member of the New Castle Rotary Club. Flannery was the recipient of the New Castle Jaycees Distinguished Service Award.

Flannery is a partner in the law firm of Balph, Nicolls Mitsos Flannery & Clark. He is a graduate of Ohio Wesleyan University and the Pennsylvania State University Dickinson School of Law.
