HARRISBURG (June 5, 2000) -- The Pennsylvania Bar Association sponsored a �Meet the Candidates� Program for the 10 candidates who are running in five of the 13 open seats for the Pennsylvania State House of Representatives. The program was held in conjunction with the second annual PBA County Bar Legislative Retreat on Monday, June 5, 2000 at the Harrisburg Hilton and Towers, Harrisburg.

Featuring candidates in Bradford, Cumberland, Lehigh, Lycoming and Montgomery counties, the program was designed to provide an open forum for discussion between county bar association leaders and the candidates. The issues discussed were tort reform; unauthorized practice of law; and legal services funding.
