Jay N. Silberblatt of the law firm of Silberblatt Mermelstein PC, Pittsburgh, will represent Allegheny County lawyers as Zone 12 governor.

Silberblatt is a member of the PBA House of Delegates and is the chair of PBA Professional Liability Committee. He served as chair of the PBA Civil Litigation Section and as chair of the Allegheny County Bar Association Civil Litigation Section.

He serves on the board of directors and the audit committee of the Pennsylvania Bar Foundation.

Silberblatt is a Fellow of the Academy of Trial Lawyers of Allegheny County. He has served on the organization's board of governors, and Professionalism, Electronics for the Litigator and Website committees.

He serves on the board of directors of the Jewish Association on Aging and the Advisory Committee for the Rauh Jewish Archives of the Senator John Heinz History Center. He is a past president of Temple Sinai.

Silberblatt has lectured on a variety of topics throughout the state and has authored numerous articles for legal periodicals.

Silberblatt is a cum laude graduate of Allegheny College and earned his law degree at the University of Pittsburgh School of Law, where he served as a senior writer on the Law Review.
