The Pennsylvania Workers' Compensation Centennial Bronze Medal
2015 marks a pivotal event for practitioners specializing in the area of workers' compensation law: the 100th Anniversary of the enactment of the Pennsylvania Workers' Compensation Act. This law, referred to as “The Grand Bargain”, addressed the epidemic of uncompensated work injuries and deaths in the Commonwealth and was passed on June 2, 1915. The PBA Workers' Compensation Section Centennial Celebration Committee recognizes the importance of marking historic pivotal events with lasting artistic keepsakes and created a bronze medal to honor this significant celebration. Approximately 1.75” in diameter, each medal is encased in a 4” x 7” sepia bi-fold which includes historical images provided by the John Heinz History Center.
