Avoidance of Legal Malpractice Seminars
The Avoidance of Legal Malpractice seminars are a benefit provided by the PBA and developed by our Professional Liability Committee. Every year the PBA provides these programs in the Spring and Fall in over 60 county-based locations. With the Pennsylvania Bar Association Insurance Program, advised and administered by USI Affinity, you have the ability to gain valuable malpractice avoidance information and earn up to a 7.5% discount on your malpractice insurance. The Avoiding Legal Malpractice Seminar, sponsored by the Pennsylvania Bar Association Insurance Program and the Pennsylvania Bar Institute, has been approved by the Pennsylvania Continuing Legal Education Board for 1.5 hours of ethics, professionalism, or substance abuse CLE credit.

You can access the current list of Avoiding Legal Malpractice Seminar (ALMS) dates and locations. To register online, click here to go to your member dashboard (member login required). On the dashboard, under Events, click on Register for an Event. You may also register by selecting the seminar you wish to attend by using the online EVENTS CALENDAR by clicking on that link at upper right and going to the date of the event found in the current list of ALMS dates and locations.

Conference of County Bar Leaders
The CCBL was created in 1967 to establish a closer relationship between the local bar associations in Pennsylvania, the PBA and the American Bar Association; to provide a forum for the mutual interchange of ideas among bar associations; to provide training, guidance, resources and assistance to local bar associations and their leaders; to stimulate the work of bar associations generally; and to promote the standing of the legal profession and the courts, improve the administration of justice, and improve the economic standing of the legal profession. A statewide conference is held in late February of each year. Learn more...
