Dauphin County Lawyer Alaina Koltash to Serve as Chair-elect of Pennsylvania Bar Association Young Lawyers Division

HARRISBURG (May 8, 2017) — Alaina Koltash of Mechanicsburg, assistant counsel for the Governor’s Office of General Counsel, Pennsylvania Department of Education, will become the chair-elect of the Pennsylvania Bar Association Young Lawyers Division (YLD) at the conclusion of the PBA Annual Meeting, May 12, in Pittsburgh.  

Koltash is concluding a one-year term as treasurer of the PBA YLD. She previously served as the PBA YLD Zone 3 co-chair and was the young lawyer member on the Executive Committee of the Conference of County Bar Leaders. She is a current member of the PBA Education Law Section, PBA Government Lawyers Section and the PBA Commission on Women in the Profession. Since 2015, Koltash has been a voting delegate in the PBA House of Delegates, the policymaking body of the association.

Also active in the community, Koltash is the secretary/treasurer of the Widener Law Commonwealth Alumni Association. She is a long-time volunteer for the Volunteer Income Tax Association, which offers free tax return preparation to low-income individuals. She also is a member of the James S. Bowman Inn of Court.   

Koltash is a graduate of The Pennsylvania State University and a magna cum laude graduate of the Widener University School of Law.
