Project: Holiday Assistance Program � Contact: Marianne S. Canning, Executive Director The BALC sponsored its annual Holiday Assistance Program to raise funds to provide holiday meals for the needy and homeless. The project was initiated in 1989 through the association�s Community Service Committee. BALC members donated a record amount this past year, and the committee was able to increase the number and amounts of assistance to local charities. Since the initiation of the project, approximately $100,000 has been realized. The project has enabled local lawyers to give back to the community and to assist in the generation of a positive image of the legal profession.
