Pennsylvania Bar Association Commission on Women in the Profession Announces 2015 Honor Roll of Legal Organizations Welcoming Women Professionals

HARRISBURG (Oct. 1, 2015) - The law firms of Curtin & Heefner LLP and McQuaide Blasko will be added to the Pennsylvania Bar Association Commission on Women in the Profession's Honor Roll of Legal Organizations Welcoming Women Professionals during the commission's Fall Retreat, Nov. 13 and 14, at The Hotel Hershey.

Created in 2009, the honor roll recognizes firms providing flexible work schedules, backup child care, networking events and other innovative solutions that enable women lawyers to continue and advance in their career. Honor roll recognition is meant to inspire additional Pennsylvania firms, corporate law departments and other organizations employing lawyers to implement similar programs.

Curtin & Heefner, with Pennsylvania law offices located in Doylestown, New Hope and Morrisville, is being honored for its mentoring program, part-time work options and flexible scheduling for maternity leave and caring for sick and elderly relatives.

McQuaide Blasko, with Pennsylvania law offices in Hershey, Hollidaysburg and State College, is being honored for its mentoring program, social networking functions offering professional support and flexible scheduling options for lawyers.

Information about the commission, its honor roll and its Fall Retreat, "Articulate Your Personal Brand," can be found on the PBA's website at www.pabar.org.

Founded in 1895, the Pennsylvania Bar Association strives to promote justice, professional excellence and respect for the law; improve public understanding of the legal system; facilitate access to legal services; and serve the 27,000 lawyers who are members of the association.
