Delaware County Lawyer Anderson Receives Excellence in Elder Law Award from Pennsylvania Bar Association

HARRISBURG (July 23, 2015) - Linda M. Anderson, founder and principal of Anderson Elder Law, Media, received the Excellence in Elder Law Award from the Pennsylvania Bar Association (PBA) Elder Law Section. The award was presented during the 18th Annual Elder Law Institute on July 23 and 24 at the Harrisburg Hilton.

The award recognizes Anderson for "superior professional efforts in the field of elder law, significant contributions to the legal profession and noteworthy service to the elderly."

Anderson has more than 25 years of experience in the elder law field.

Anderson is a Certified Elder Law Attorney as conferred by the National Elder Law Foundation and authorized by the Pennsylvania Supreme Court. She is an accredited attorney with the Department of Veteran Affairs, as well as a member of the Life Care Planning Law Firms Association and the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys. She is an invited member of the Special Needs Alliance, a national nonprofit organization committed to helping individuals with disabilities and their family members.

Active in legal organizations, Anderson serves on the board of directors for the Pennsylvania Association of Elder Law Attorneys. She is a member and past chair of the PBA Elder Law Section and the Delaware County Bar Association Elder Law Committee and a past board member of the Horizons Unlimited Geriatric Education Association.

Anderson received an undergraduate degree from Sarah Lawrence College, a master’s degree in taxation from Villanova University and a juris doctor from the University of San Francisco School of Law.

Members of the PBA Elder Law Section exchange ideas and information on substantive elder law issues to meet the needs of their clients. Section members also promote improvements in substantive law, legal education and ethical guidelines.
