Temporary Suspension – Rule 214(d)(1)
The following attorney has been placed on temporary suspension under a rule of disciplinary enforcement pertaining to attorneys convicted of serious crimes: Gary Steven Melvin, out of state, on Sept. 6, 2002.

Disbarments on Consent
The following attorneys have been disbarred on consent under a rule of disciplinary enforcement pertaining to resignations by attorneys under disciplinary investigation: Carl Herbert Brown, Allegheny County, on Oct. 10, 2002; Stephen M. Dorr, Bucks County, on Oct. 10, 2002; and Philip Matthew Stinson Sr., Chester County, on Oct. 18, 2002.

Reciprocal Discipline
The Pennsylvania Supreme Court has imposed reciprocal discipline on the following attorneys: Stuart Donegan, Dauphin County, disbarred, on Sept. 4, 2002, for like discipline imposed by the Supreme Court of New Jersey; Philip Edward Van Riper, out of state, suspended for one year and one day, retroactive to Feb. 16, 2002, on Sept. 6, 2002, in response to a one-year suspension ordered by the New York Supreme Court, Appellate Division, Third Judicial District; Lawrence S. Coven, out of state, disbarred, on Sept. 6, 2002, for having been disbarred by consent by the Supreme Court of New Jersey; Richard P. Mule, Bucks County, disbarred, on Sept. 26, 2002, for having been disbarred by consent by order of the Supreme Court of New Jersey; Joel B. Rubinstein, out of state, suspended for three months, on Oct. 10, 2002, for having been suspended for a like period by order of the Supreme Court of New Jersey; William B. Sparks, out of state, suspended for three months, on Oct. 16, 2002, in response to a three-month suspension ordered by the Supreme Court of New Jersey; William L. Autman Jr., suspended for three years, on Oct. 18, 2002, for a like suspension ordered by the Supreme Court of the State of Delaware; Scott Earl Walterschied, out of state, disbarred, on Oct. 31, 2002, for having been disbarred by consent by the Supreme Court of New Jersey; and Francis X. Gavin, out of state, suspended for three months, on Oct. 31, 2002, in response to a three-month suspension ordered by the Supreme Court of New Jersey.
