PBA House Approves Committee Resolution Supporting DREAM Act, May 10, 2013
The PBA House of Delegates voted May 10, 2013, to approve the Immigration Law Committee's resolution supporting passage of legislation similar to Senate Bill 713, the Pennsylvania Development, Relief and Education for Alien Minors (DREAM) Act, to permit certain undocumented residents to pay in-state tuition rates at public institutions of higher education in Pennsylvania. Civil & Equal Rights Committee Resolution on Regulation of Immigration, June 2007
The PBA House of Delegates approved the amended resolution of the PBA Civil & Equal Rights Committee that the PBA support federal government enforcement of immigration law and ongoing efforts to develop and enact comprehensive immigration reform legislation and oppose local or state laws or regulations seeking to regulate immigration or immigrants and that the PBA authorize the PBA president and officers to communicate the content of the resolution to members of Congress and the press and to state and local agencies, other bar associations and members, and the public at large and to take such other action as may be appropriate.
