If a timely notice of appeal is filed by a party, any other party may file a notice of cross appeal within 14 days of the date on which the first notice of appeal was filed, or within the time otherwise prescribed by Rule 903, whichever period last expires. See Pa.R.A.P. 903(b).
In some circumstances, more than one notice of appeal will be necessary. See Amended Notes to Pa.R.A.P. 341 (Final Orders) and Pa.R.A.P. 512 (Joint Appeals).
