State Rep. Kathy M. Manderino is chair of the Pennsylvania Bar Association's House of Delegates. She is serving a two-year term, from 2007 to 2009, as chair of the statewide legal professional association's policy-making body.
Manderino also serves as a trustee for the Pennsylvania Bar Insurance Fund and Trust and is a fellow of the Pennsylvania Bar Foundation.
From 2003 to 2006, Manderino served on the PBA Board of Governors as an at-large governor representing the interests of women lawyers in Pennsylvania. She recently served as a chair of the PBA Public Service Institute Task Force and as a member of the PBA Board of Governors, PBA Nominating Committee, PBA Pension Committee, PBA Loan Forgiveness Implementation Committee and PBA Task Force on Student Loan Forgiveness and Repayment.
Manderino is a past co-chair and member of the executive council of the PBA Women in the Profession Committee. She also was a member of the PBA Delivery of Legal Services to the Needy Committee and the PBA Access to Justice: Pro Bono Working Group.
Since 1993, Manderino has served in the Pennsylvania House of Representatives and represents parts of Montgomery and Philadelphia counties. She currently chairs the Judiciary's Family Law Subcommittee and the Appropriations' Subcommittee on Health and Human Services. She also is a member of the Health and Human Services, Insurance and Urban Affairs committees.
Prior to her election as a state representative, Manderino was an attorney with the law firm of Fox Rothschild O'Brien & Frankel. She also worked for the Philadelphia Area Labor-Management Committee and the Council for Labor and Industry.
Manderino is a graduate of the Pennsylvania State University and Temple University School of Law.
Committed to community service, Manderino has served on the boards of The Bridge Adolescent Treatment Center, Northwest Victim Services and The Food Trust.
