ZONE 11 GOVERNOR ALFRED JONES JR

Alfred Jones Jr., a partner with the law firm of Delafield, McGee, Jones & Kauffman P.C., State College, is one of 12 zone governors serving on the Pennsylvania Bar Association Board of Governors. He represents Cameron, Centre, Clearfield, Clinton, Elk and Potter county lawyers. His term will expire in 2010.

Jones recently served as president of the PBA Conference of County Bar Leaders and previously served as the group's secretary, treasurer and vice president. He is a member and recent vice chair of the PBA Lawyers' Assistance Committee and is a member of the PBA Professional Liability Committee. He also formerly served on the PBA Lawyer Advertising Task Force and the PBA Alcohol and Drug Addiction Committee.

Jones is a member and former president of the Centre County Bar Association.

He serves on the board of directors for Lawyers Concerned for Lawyers of Pennsylvania Inc., a confidential assistance program for lawyers, judges and their family members struggling with substance abuse and emotional and mental health issues.

Active in his community, Jones is a board member and former board president for Community Help Centre, a volunteer-based, non-profit organization that provides services, resources, education and training to area residents in need of support and to people who are seeking opportunities to volunteer. He has served in a variety of board roles for the Centre County Community Foundation, a public charity that accepts gifts to create permanent endowments that support the arts, social and health concerns, education and the environment, as well as Centre Homecare. In addition, Jones serves on the board of Centre County United Way.

Jones is a graduate of Dickinson College and Duquesne University School of Law.
