Beverly H. Rampaul, Governor At-Large

Beverly H. Rampaul
Beverly H. Rampaul, senior assistant public defender in the Lancaster County Public Defender's Office, is serving a three-year term on the PBA Board of Governors. Rampaul will represent Pennsylvania minority lawyers who are members of the association.

Rampaul served as chair of the PBA Minority Bar Committee from 2009 to 2011 and as co-vice chair from 2006 to 2009. She served on the PBA Diversity Task Force and chaired the PBA Diversity Task Force's Diversity Team and Officer Subcommittee. She is a member of the PBA Diversity Team and serves as a PBA Diversity Team Ambassador. She is a member of the PBA Women in the Profession Committee and served as co-chair from 2011 to 2012 of its diversity committee. She also is a member of the PBA Leadership Recruitment and Development Committee. She served as a PBA Young Lawyers Division Zone Three Co-chair and Zone-at-Large Co-chair. She was a voting member of the PBA House of Delegates and a member of the PBA Corrections Committee.

She is a past chair of the Lancaster Bar Association's Diversity Committee and the Professionalism Section. She also is a member of the LBA Criminal Law and Young Lawyers sections. She is active in the American Bar Association and a variety of its committees and sections, including the ABA Criminal Justice Section, the ABA Litigation Section Young Lawyer Leadership Program, the Young Lawyers Division Fellows and the Tort Trial and Insurance Practice Section. She is a member of the Public Defenders Association of Pennsylvania and the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers.

Rampaul is a graduate of Lafayette College and the Dickinson School of Law of the Pennsylvania State University, where she served as the senior associate editor of the Dickinson Journal of International Law. She also is a graduate of the National Criminal Defense College and the National Judicial College's ABA National Trial Academy.
